These men came along and opposed the rebuilding; what were they trying to accomplish? Note vv4-5 on how we should deal with opposition to our commitment to accomplishing God’s task?
Do keep our leaders in prayer as they meet tonight desiring to be good stewards of our physical premises so as to facilitate effective ministries in our midst.

Passage: Nehemiah 3:1-32
Read through the chapter again and trace the building sites with a map. The rebuilding task is meticulous and progressively tedious, some works involved building, others required repairing. Every portion needed people to work on.
We pray for those who labour in \”building lives\” within our church, especially those involved in evangelism, discipleship, encouragement, social outreach, and counselling.

Read through the chapter and note the names of those involved in the rebuilding project. Names refer to people, unique and loved by God, obeying God in the task of building.
Let’s be thankful to God for all his provision and blessings in our lives both individually and as a church.

Passage: Nehemiah 2:10-20
There will always be opposition and obstacles in our service. As long as we remember that the “hand of God” is upon us, we will accomplish what He sets out for us to do.
Let’s again be mindful of God’s presence as we gather as the faithful do, to worship Him tomorrow, bringing along with us the proper gifts of “living sacrifices.”

Nehemiah prayed and planned meticulously before, he acted on his plans. Often, we need to learn to act out our resolution to serve God expeditiously.
Remember the members of our Sunshine Fellowship who are on a tour to Johor; pray for a good time of fellowship and protection throughout the journey.

Nehemiah showed us how to be bold in seeking to do the Lord’s bidding. Let’s reflect on our own boldness in serving the Lord.
Let us keep our leaders in prayer as they plan and implement decisions made during last weekend’s retreat.
