It is difficult to explain pains and suffering, especially that of grieving mothers for the loss of their babies.  Yet, the joy of Christ’s birth has his ultimate journey towards the cross.  What does it mean to follow Christ and take up his cross daily?

John started by telling us that the Word has become flesh and dwelt amongst us.  John wrote again in 1 John 1:1-4 about this encounter.  Have you a personal encounter with the Son that was born on Christmas morn?

When you read the newspapers today, which report would you consider as good news?  How would the Gospel be good news?

How often did the church meet? Where did they meet? What did they do when they met?

How did the believers express oneness of heart and mind? How was God’s power working among them?

What ministries of the church are mentioned? Looking at the qualities of the men chosen, how might we compare the importance of the ministries?

Note the conversation between Philip and the Eunuch. Was Philip prepared to share? How can his example encourage you to be ready

in and out of season to share the Gospel?

What did the ancestors do to disobey God? Is idolatry still a problem with God’s people today?

Saul’s conversion is a great reminder to us that God’s grace and love reach towards all mankind. 

What does the Psalmist say about growing in the Christian life? How can we help the young people of the church grow as he has suggested?
