For Week starting on 2 Jun 2024
Read Exodus 29:1-35
- Read vv.1-9. Consider how God required His priests to be rightly clothed and consecrated. 1 Peter 2:9 says Christians are now God’s priests. Why do you think God requires those who serve Him to consecrate their lives? What does it mean for you to consecrate your life to God?
- Read vv.10-21. The consecration of the priest required their sins to be atoned for and their conscience to be cleansed from sin’s defilement through blood sacrifices. In what ways have you been appropriating God’s forgiveness and cleansing for you in Christ’s blood to come clean before Him?
- Read vv. 21-35. The final segment of this 7-day consecration ritual concerns mainly the meal offerings to God and meals for the priest. How does this speak to you about God’s intent and provision for you to eat and live in His presence?
Prayer Points
- Thank God for most of the DGs that have completed the Design for Discipleship Book 1 and 2 studies. Pray that members will apply what they have learned to reap the blessings of obedience and multiply the influence of God’s word through their lives.
- Pray that more non-DG members/worshippers will benefit from our Discipleship Groups learning journey with the Design For Discipleship Book 4 sign-up on 2 and 9 June.
- Pray for God’s presence, protection, and provision for our entire 5 to 8 June Church Camp. Pray for the participants to meet God through His word and His people during this camp.
