For week of 14 – 20 Jul

Read Exodus 32:11-35

  • What role did Moses play when the people’s great sin aroused Yahweh to anger? What cost was he willing to bear for them? Who has borne the cost of your sin?
  • How did the Levites set themselves apart from rebellious Israel? How can we stay loyal to God when the pressure to rebel against God is great? How different is the end the Levites and the people experienced?

Prayer Points

  • Thank God for the past Synod Sunday and exchange of pulpits among fellow Presbyterian Ministers. Pray for God’s strengthening of the Presbyterian Church in Singapore that it may continue to be faithful and united in the preaching and practice of God’s word.
  • Pray for the English Presbytery Missions Fest from 25-27 July. Pray that God may use the event to revitalise our call and mobilise us for God’s mission, both locally and overseas.
  • Pray for the young in our church as they continue to actively serve and witness for God among their friends and colleagues in their studies and work. Pray that they may be wise in making use of time and opportunities to glorify God in all that they do.
  • Pray for those who are suffering from chronic and/or major illnesses. Pray for God’s healing, if it is in His will, and His comfort and strength to bring them through. Pray also for caretakers that they may find support from loved ones around them.
