THE PARABLES OF JESUS
A 7-lecture series organised by GPC (Glory Presbyterian Church) Church-Wide Bible Study

This seven-week course seeks primarily to help participants appreciate the meaning and impact of Jesus’ parables when they were first told, and secondarily to apply them for present-day Christian living. To this end, the background and the framework within which we are to understand Jesus’ parables will be emphasized, especially the connection with the theme of the Kingdom of God and the fulfillment of the Old Testament. There will also be a move beyond long-held assumptions so that crucial matters may now be understood in this new light of God’s revelation. It is hoped that, through this course, participants may gain a better understanding of their faith and become illuminating and transforming parables for our own generation.
