Notice is hereby given of the Extraordinary Congregational Meeting (ECM) to be held onsite in the Suntec Halls 308-311 on Sunday, 31 May 2026 (after the morning and evening services) for the election of deacons. Session received 3 nominations for new deacons and 2 nominations for deacons for their second term. Details of the 5 candidates are shown below.
All members are encouraged to attend the ECM. Please bring your NRIC for verification and registration purposes on Sunday, 31 May 2026. Voting will be conducted in-person
- 9 a.m. Service: Registration 8.15 – 9.00 a.m. outside Halls 308-311.
- 5.30 p.m. Service: Registration 4.45 – 5.30 p.m. outside Halls 308-311.
All members are requested to register and collect your voting slips before the start of worship service on 31 May 2026. Please come early.
If you are unable to attend, please authorise another member as proxy to vote on your behalf.

CANDIDATE PROFILES FOR ELECTION OF DEACONS
FOR THE 3-YEAR TERM FROM 1 JULY 2026 TO 30 JUNE 2029

For Deaconship (2nd Term):
Deacon Mazmur The has been a member of ORPC since 2004 (by transfer). He has been serving in the Audio-Visual Ministry since 2013, involved with online worship recording and broadcasting of worship service during COVID-19 restrictions. He was also part of the project team overseeing the Sanctuary AV system upgrade and has served as a member of Congregation Care and Worship committees. Since 2023, Mazmur had also served in the IT Committee. More recently, he contributed to the A&A off-site logistics committee. Mazmur is married to Ratna Chandra Sutantio, and they are blessed with two children, Jasmine and James.

For Deaconship (2nd Term):
Deacon Benjamin Dy Ong has been a member of ORPC since 2008 (by transfer). He had served as Deacon from 2012-2015 and 2023-2026. In the period 2023-2026, he served in various committees including as member of the Congregation Care Ministry (2023-25), Convenor for the House & Property Committee (2025), member of the Finance Committee (2023-2026), member of the Mission & Evangelism Committee (2026), and member of the Christian Education Committee (2026). Benjamin is married to Chrislyn Wu and their children are Adeline Ann and Bernadette Belle.

For Deaconship (1st Term):
Ms Lim Qin Yuin (Jasmine) has been a member of ORPC since 2014 (by baptism). Her parents, Tian Seng and Connie, brought her to ORPC and she is sister to Serene, Qing Chuan and Yan Di. She has served in the Youth, and the Young Adults Ministry for 18 years. She loves music, and one of her favourite hymns is We are God’s People. She believes that as God’s people, “we die alone, for on its own each ember loses fire; yet joined in one the flame burns on to give warmth and light, and to inspire”.

For Deaconship (1st Term):
Dr Benjamin Kuek Jia Wei was baptised as an infant in ORPC in 1993 and has been a member of ORPC since 2014 by confirmation. He has served in ORPC since 2009, including as a Youth Ministry committee member, a Youth and subsequently Young Adults DG leader, and presently as the Young Adults coordinator. He is married to Kate.

For Deaconship (1st Term):
Mr Kurniawan Tjandra has been a member of ORPC since 2020. He joined the Luke 19:23 DG in 2019. He is also serving as a youth mentor and in the Mission & Evangelism committee. He is married to Isabela.
