CHRIST-CENTRED FAMILY & PARENTING

CHRIST-CENTRED FAMILY & PARENTING

How do we build a home that truly reflects the gospel rather than bowing to the relentless pressure to perform? What if your family was never meant to be the source of your ultimate worth?

In this session, we explore Christian family and parenting with a gospel focus. A gospel-centred family is never treated as an ultimate idol for finding meaning in life – this frees us from the crushing pressure of achievement. Instead, the Christian home is rooted in (substitutionary) sacrifice, gospel identity, and balance. That means raising children requires laying down personal power and control, just as Christ did on the cross.

Christian parenting avoids extremes, combining traditional moral , limits and structure with modern listening, strong affirmation and freedom. For adult children, honouring parents means forgiving past hurts and breaking free from the need for their ultimate approval.

The session will also offer values and practices to help cultivate spiritual formation at home.

Join us as we discover what a truly Christ-centred family can look like.
