Ps John Chew (Part-time - Small Groups)
In 1984, God called John into full-time ministry with Youth for Christ Singapore. Subsequently he went to study Diploma in Theology in Sydney (1990), BTh in Singapore Bible College (1995) and Master in Ministry in Melbourne (2006). He has served in the Presbyterian churches locally.
He is thankful to God for calling him from retirement to serve part-time in ORPC. Our Lord has impressed upon his heart to serve in the Small Group ministry. John believes it is a place where church members meet regularly, through Bible Study to learn in more detail about the Word, connecting with one another, encouraging and spurring one another toward godliness. Furthermore, Small Group ministry provides opportunities for church members to work as a team to reach out to non-Christian relatives and friends.
John is a part-time pastoral staff serving in Congregational Care and Small Group ministries.
Dr Dominic Kuek (Ministry Intern)
Dominic was blessed to be taught the true gospel by his parents, Kenneth & Catherine Kuek and his loving church family in ORPC, and was involved in the youth ministry during his teenage years. But it was in university when he was struck by the power of God’s Word in giving life, and the urgency of a dying world’s (which includes him!) need to listen to it. After completing his MBBS in London, he stayed on for a year in the UK to work as a doctor, offering temporary relief to our human condition that can never compare to the life Jesus offers. He has returned as a church apprentice to test whether full-time gospel ministry is right for him. In his free time, he enjoys reading, playing both computer games and board games, and the occasional anime.
